Newen Connect has successfully secured several sales for the family adventure film Kina & Yuk, directed by Guillaume Maidatchevsky, the same talent behind Ailo’s Journey. This exciting live-action movie tells the tale of two foxes who become separated due to the melting polar ice and embark on a dangerous journey in hopes of reuniting and starting a family. Kina & Yuk premiered in French theaters on December 27th.
The film has already been sold to more than 30 markets, including countries like Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Germany, and many others. It features real animals in their natural habitats and was shot in the breathtaking Yukon region in Northwestern Canada. The co-production partners, Adler and Les Films Opale, have also arranged distribution deals for the movie in Italy and Canada.
Kina & Yuk is a heartwarming story about love and friendship that transcends geographic boundaries and resonates with audiences, especially during this time of year. The creative collaboration between Guillaume Maidatchevsky and Valdés, a partnership between producer Laurent Flahault and Borsalino Productions founders Laurent Baudens and Gaël Nouaille, has played a significant role in bringing this live-action adventure to life.
