The actress from the popular teen show The O.C. is back as her character in a new advertising campaign for 21Seeds-infused tequila. This campaign is a collaboration with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the creators of The O.C., who produced the videos through their company, Fake Empire.

The campaign features three videos that reference memorable moments from the show, including the famous scene where Marissa (played by Mischa Barton) throws a lawn chair into the pool.

Reflecting on her sudden realization of the show’s popularity, the actress shared an experience from a special event in Manhattan Beach where the cast was overwhelmed by the number of fans. This was a turning point, showing them how well-known the show had become.

Josh Schwartz approached her about the project, and because she had already enjoyed 21Seeds tequila, she was excited to get involved, especially to play her character Summer again. In the narrative of the ads, Summer is portrayed as living a good life in Orange County, still married to Seth, and with kids.

When asked whether her character Summer should appear on The Real Housewives of Orange County, she thought it would be a good fit. She is also open to the idea of a show reunion or reboot, although she treasures the original series as a special moment in time.

Working with Josh and Stephanie again was a joyful experience for her, reminiscent of the days when they would applaud after a great scene during the filming of The O.C.

Summer’s favorite drink from the 21Seeds lineup is the cucumber jalapeno, as she prefers a spicy margarita.

If there were to be another ad campaign, she’d love to bring back Pancakes, the rabbit from the show. This playful idea reflects the fun and light-hearted nature of her character and the campaign. Source
