Paramount is making plans for a sequel to the action movie Top Gun: Maverick, with Ehren Kruger, co-writer of the original film, working on the script. They are also hoping to bring back director Joe Kosinski for the project. The potential sequel could see actors like Miles Tiller and Glen Powell return for more high-flying adventures alongside Tom Cruise. Paramount has not yet provided an official comment on these developments.
Tom Cruise recently signed a deal with Warner Bros. to develop both franchises and original movies, although he can still work with other studios like Paramount. Paramount is also in the spotlight as its parent company, Paramount Global, is rumored to be up for sale, with Skydance Media considering buying the controlling stake.
