Netflix France got an award for their super smart way of promoting the fourth season of the hit British show “Sex Education” at an event called Series Mania. This award is pretty new and it’s all about giving thumbs up to the best efforts in advertising shows to both regular people watching at home and the big shots who decide what gets on TV.
A group of big names from places like BBC Creative Studios and some other cool agencies formed the jury. Sarah Izbornicki, who takes care of marketing for Netflix France, was super happy to pick up the award.
“Sex Education” is this funny and touching show on Netflix about a bunch of teenagers figuring out life and love in a made-up place called Moordale. It’s got this character, Otis, and a bunch of his friends trying to navigate through their awkward teenage years.
Netflix France did something really neat by teaming up with a group called Planning Familial to help people get answers to their questions about sex education through a free hotline. This idea was a hit and got seen over 100 million times across social media and through some famous folks talking about it.

Another show called “Dark Hearts,” which is all about spies and secret stuff happening in Iraq, got a special nod from the jury. The people behind it, Newen Connect, did some fancy things with pictures and AI to make an awesome presentation for the second season.
Laurence Herszberg, who runs Series Mania, mentioned they wanted to make sure all kinds of promotions got noticed because it’s super important for shows to get seen from the moment someone dreams them up until we get to watch them on our screens. She ended by giving a big shout-out to Netflix and Newen Connect for their clever work. Source
