Studio Canal’s movie about Amy Winehouse, Back to Black, continues to be the top movie in the UK and Ireland for the second week in a row, making £1.8 million ($2.3 million) this weekend and bringing its total earnings to £6.3 million.
In second place is Civil War, directed by Alex Garland, which earned £1.05 million this weekend and has made £3.8 million in total. Kung Fu Panda 4 from Universal came in third, making £901,615 this weekend and totaling £18.5 million.
Warner Bros.’ Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire made £652,128 this weekend, landing it in fourth place with a total of £12.8 million. Abigail, a new release from Universal, debuted in fifth place with £596,590.
Upcoming releases include Trafalgar Releasing’s Aespa World Tour in Cinemas featuring a Korean band, and several new movies coming out on Friday, such as Warner Bros.’ Challengers, Signature’s Boy Kills World, Sony’s Ordinary Angels, All The Anime’s Spy x Family Code: White, and Vertigo’s Scarygirl.
Vue Entertainment will also open There’s Still Tomorrow, Universal is releasing The American Society of Magical Negroes, and there are documentaries like Tomorrow’s Freedom and On-Resistance Street hitting theaters. Italian film Kidnapped and 606 Distribution’s Elaha are also premiering.

Additionally, Screenbound Pictures/Blue Dolphin is releasing two films, Malum and Hunt Her Kill Her, while Modern Films is opening Stephen, Aya Films’ Omen, and Universal’s sci-fi thriller I.S.S. Conic’s That They May Face the Rising Sun and Swipe Films’ Quintessentially Irish are also part of the upcoming releases. Source
