The upcoming movie Stolen Girl will feature actors Kate Beckinsale, Scott Eastwood, and James Cromwell. Directed by James Kent, known for his work on Testament of Youth and The Aftermath this drama is set to begin shooting in Southern Italy, specifically in the Apulia region.
Stolen Girl is based on the true story of an American woman, Maureen Dabbagh. Maureen spent many years searching for her daughter, who was taken to the Middle East by her ex-husband. The movie starts in 1993 in Ohio, where Maureen’s 6-year-old daughter Amina is secretly taken out of the country by her father, Karim.
After many failed attempts to find her daughter, Maureen teams up with a professional who specializes in finding internationally abducted children. This leads her to Beirut, where she finally finds her daughter and ex-husband and is faced with an extremely tough decision.

The film is being produced by ILBE, an Italian company that has been involved in other major productions like Michael Mann’s Ferrari. ILBE’s Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, along with Frida Torresblanco, Scott Lambert, and Luca Matrundola, are producing the movie. The script is penned by Rebecca Pollock and Kas Graham.
With a budget of around 25 million euros, Stolen Girl is mainly being filmed in Italy. Andrea Iervolino expressed excitement about filming in Apulia, praising the region’s versatility and suitability for their production needs.
