Getting in tip-top shape was a priority for Jake Gyllenhaal while filming the Road House remake. His dedication was so serious, it even became a bit of a joke among the cast.
Gyllenhaal’s co-star Hannah Love Lanier shared that his diet was super strict. Apparently, there were moments when the scorching Dominican Republic heat got too much, and Gyllenhaal would take off his shirt to cool down. Lanier jokingly mentioned she saw a bit of flexing going on during these shirtless moments.
The movie also features a star-studded cast, including UFC champion Conor McGregor making his acting debut! McGregor himself acknowledged the demanding nature of the film, especially when it came to fight scenes. He expressed his gratitude for learning from the experienced Gyllenhaal.
Apparently, the filming wasn’t all work and no play. Cast member Lukas Gage revealed there was a fun skinny dipping in the ocean wrap party to celebrate the film’s completion. Source
