Pulsar Content has announced that they will be handling the global distribution of Michele Placido’s upcoming film, “Eternal Visionary.” The movie tells the story of Luigi Pirandello, an Italian playwright, novelist, and poet who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934. In the film, Pirandello is portrayed by Fabrizio Bentivoglio, a renowned Italian actor known for his roles in films like “Loro,” “The Invisible Boy,” and “Human Capital.” Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, a filmmaker and actor, plays Pirandello’s wife, while Federica Luna Vicenti also joins the cast.
The story begins in 1934 as Pirandello is on his way to Stockholm to accept the Nobel Prize. During his journey, he reflects on the significant people who have influenced his life and art. These reflections encompass his wife’s struggles with mental health, his tumultuous relationship with his children, his controversial stance on fascism, and his deep affection for Marta Abba, a young actress who served as his muse.
