Some famous musicians like Miley Cyrus, Lorde, and Paramore are going to create a special album as a tribute to the band Talking Heads. This album will celebrate Talking Heads’ live album from 1984 called “Stop Making Sense.”
Other artists involved in this project include Girl in Red, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, BadBadNotGood, Toro y Moi, Blondshell, DJ Tunez, Jean Dawson, Chicano Batman, The Linda Lindas, El Mató, and The Cavemen.
The announcement about this album came out on January 10th in a video teaser shared by Paramore and A24 on their social media. In the video, Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, gets a special package with a jacket similar to the one worn by David Byrne on the original “Stop Making Sense” album cover. The teaser also gives a sneak peek of Paramore’s version of the song “Burning Down the House.”
A24, the film company, got the rights to the famous concert film and re-released it in theaters worldwide last year to celebrate its 40th anniversary. It became a big hit, making a lot of money and selling out screenings in North America.

The original film from 1984 was directed by Jonathan Demme, who made famous movies like Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia. It features the principal members of Talking Heads: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, along with other talented musicians. The live performance was recorded over three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983 and included some of Talking Heads’ most famous songs.
Lastly, Paramore recently cleared their social media accounts and website. But don’t worry, this was to mark the end of their 20-year contract with Atlantic Records, and they’re still making music. Source
