Paramount’s “Mean Girls” continues to dominate the box office in the U.K. and Ireland, earning £1.4 million ($1.8 million) in its latest weekend, bringing its total to £5.5 million after two weeks in theaters. Disney’s highly acclaimed “All of Us Strangers,” directed by Andrew Haigh and starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal, made its debut in second place with £1.1 million.
Warner Bros.’ “Wonka” secured third place with £1.04 million and has amassed a total of £59.7 million over eight weekends. In fourth place, Sony’s “Anyone But You” earned £817,810 in its fifth weekend, reaching a total of £8.3 million.
Disney’s double Golden Globe winner “Poor Things” rounded off the top five, earning £690,024 in its third weekend for a total of £5.06 million.
There were two new entries in the top 10. Viacom18’s Bollywood epic “Fighter,” which topped the global box office with $25 million, secured seventh place in the U.K. and Ireland with £590,146. In the eighth position, Warner Bros.’ “The Color Purple” earned £452,364.

Upcoming releases include Anime Ltd’s “Blue Giant” and Trafalgar Releasing’s concert film “Pet Shop Boys Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live at the Royal Arena” on January 31. On February 1, CinemaLive is releasing “Kinky Boots – The Musical,” while KOVA is debuting “The Chosen” Season 4.
The widest releases for the upcoming Friday include Universal’s Migration and Argyll. A24 is opening Jonathan Glazer’s acclaimed The Zone of Interest, and Curzon is releasing “American Fiction.” Dogwoof is bringing Kim Longinotto and Franky Murray Brown’s music documentary Dalton’s Dream to the audience.
In re-releases, Park Circus is presenting a 4K remastered version of Terrence Malick’s masterpiece “Days of Heaven” and celebrating the 25th anniversary of 10 Things I Hate About You. Source
