The movie Godzilla Minus One, a big hit that was even nominated for an Oscar, has finished its impressive nine-week run in theaters. To celebrate this big moment, Mondo is releasing a special poster to remember the film’s success. This poster is a tribute to Godzilla’s latest movie adventure. Even though Godzilla is making room for a new movie in the Monsterverse, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” fans can keep a piece of this memorable film thanks to a collaboration between Mondo and the famous artist Tony Stella.

This exclusive poster will be sold only on Mondo’s website from Thursday, February 8, at noon until Monday, February 12, just before midnight. It’s a big poster, 24 inches by 36 inches, and it costs $80. It will be shipped all over the world, except Japan, and it’s expected to reach buyers in May 2024. Tony Stella is known for his beautiful hand-painted movie posters, and his latest work captures Godzilla’s incredible power in a style that reminds us of classic movie posters.

Stella is passionate about traditional movie poster art, often celebrating Japanese films and even James Bond through his artwork. He’s excited about this project because “Godzilla Minus One” is not just a hit; it’s the top-earning Japanese live-action movie in the U.S. This is a big deal because the film mixes Godzilla’s destruction with deeper themes like war and loss, earning it lots of praise.

Mondo, located in Austin, Texas, is famous for teaming up with artists to create special posters, vinyl soundtracks, and collectibles based on popular culture and original ideas. This new poster highlights Mondo’s dedication to celebrating movies through art, honoring the achievements of Godzilla Minus One and the Godzilla series as a whole. Source
