Gurinder Chadha is directing a new Christmas movie called Christmas Karma, a modern Bollywood musical based in London and inspired by A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
The film stars Kunal Nayyar as Scrooge, with other cast members including Eva Longoria and Boy George. Music for the film is by Gary Barlow, Shaznay Lewis, and Nitin Sawhney. The movie will be released in the U.K. by True Brit Entertainment and is co-financed by Civic Studios.
Chadha aims to create a new holiday classic that will resonate with audiences much like the beloved film It’s a Wonderful Life, drawing from Dickens’ profound themes on humanity. Source
