In Brad Peyton’s action sci-fi movie on Netflix titled Atlas, Jennifer Lopez stars as Atlas, a data analyst who teams up with AI to protect Earth from a dangerous robot played by Simu Liu.

At the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles, Jennifer Lopez shared her thoughts with me, highlighting the potential dangers and benefits of AI. She mentioned her own negative experiences with AI, where her images were used without her consent to promote products she had no association with, describing it as frightening.

Lopez emphasized the importance of respecting AI and staying open to all possibilities. She praised films like Atlas for effectively showing both the good and bad sides of AI technology.

Sterling K. Brown, who appears as a military officer in the film, was impressed by Lopez’s dedication to her work. He commented on her ability to handle multiple responsibilities and imagined how intense her schedule must have been at its peak.

Brown and Lopez share a scene where their characters are left injured after a confrontation with the villains. Between takes, they enjoyed chatting, and Brown took the opportunity to ask Lopez about her early days as a Fly Girl on In Living Color which led to some interesting stories about Rosie Perez.

Atlas has been a hit on Netflix, ranking among the top 10 most-watched movies over the Memorial Day weekend. Source
