ABC is getting ready to bring back its popular TV shows after a long break caused by strikes in Hollywood. Fans are eager to find out if Ava from “Abbott Elementary” turns into a tough and skilled principal, if Andy Herrera becomes the top captain at Station 19, if John Nolan has a smooth wedding on “The Rookie,” if “The Good Doctor” will be a great father, and what’s happening with Meredith and Nick on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
ABC recently teased what’s coming in its evening lineup, promising exciting developments in these shows over the next few months. Last week, the network gave us a sneak peek at what to expect this winter and spring, and now Variety has exclusive full-length trailers for the comedy shows “The Conners,” “Not Dead Yet,” and “Abbott Elementary” just before they return next Wednesday. Additionally, ABC is releasing full trailers for “The Rookie,” “The Good Doctor,” and “Will Trent,” which are all set to come back on Tuesday, February 20.
There are also short teasers for Grey’s Anatomy, the last season of “Station 19,” and the first showing of 9-1-1 on ABC, all starting on Thursdays from March 14. (The complete trailers will be shared closer to their start dates.) Plus, ABC is giving a first glimpse at a moving audition for the new season of “American Idol,” airing on Sunday, February 18.
This season is a milestone for ABC, with The Rookie, The Connors, and Station 19 each reaching their 100th episodes. It also marks the end of the line for “The Good Doctor” and “Station 19.” The network is looking to create a buzz by releasing these previews all at once as it brings back its scripted shows and introduces new ones for midseason.
