The Inevitable Foundation, supported by Netflix’s Fund for Creative Equity, is starting a new fellowship program called the Visionary Fellowship. This program is specially designed for disabled filmmakers. It lasts for one year and helps them develop their filmmaking skills by providing financial support, mentorship, and a community. Participants will make a short film during the fellowship, which will help them prepare for their first major film project.

Each filmmaker in the program will receive $55,000. This includes money for making their short film with a skilled team, a grant for personal support throughout the year, health insurance, help with marketing, and money for travel and other needs.

The program also offers learning opportunities through workshops led by industry experts, chances to work with other filmmakers, and events to build community among the participants. It concludes with a special event where the short films are shown to people in the film industry, like producers and agents.

Netflix’s Fund for Creative Equity started in 2021 and works with over 80 organizations worldwide to help creatives find job opportunities on Netflix productions and succeed in the entertainment industry. Source
